I'm new to this site. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about 6 months now. Around December I started noticing that I was extremely dry down there. Lately it has gotten worse. It's so bad, that sometimes we avoid sex because it just hurts. Does anyone here know the cause of this and any possible treatment? I took evening primrose oil for 3 months and didn't notice any changes. I have an appt with my dr next week, and I just did a pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound and some blood work. Haven't gotten the results yet ...

You may want ot try Preseed, it helps for vaginal dryness. the bad news is that if are trying for a baby, the dryness doens't help at all... I mean that if you don't notice any fertile cervical mucus, there is high risk that you don't O at all.

Oh! it really hurts. It also create problem in TTC. Did you try to focus on diet? As sometimes diet also affects on such problems. It caused vaginal atrophy and occurs due to estrogen low level. It normally happens after menstrual cycle. It can also be if you are between 45 to 50. Have you consulted with some doctor? Hormones therapy is the best cure. Lotions and lubricants are used for it. But these are temporary medications. These have negative side effects. After some time of usage these might be increase the dryness or you need to increase the dose.
