Sorry I still haven't been around the drama never stops around here Our ac broke so I have been spending all day everyday in my DH's computer room. It has a window unit in it also a tv,pullout couch and his pc.

This past weekend we went out of town to a convention and I did ALOT of walking. I thought I was going to die from hurting feet, back aches, lack of sleep and so on. I didn't notice over the weekend until last night that my feet and ankles are quite swollen. It does explain why my socks were so dang tight though. And all weekend I have been sure that I have a UTI, frequent bathroom breaks most of which included little urine.

I just started looking into it online and now I am worried that it could be something serious. I guess tomorow I will call my Dr since my regular appt isn't until the 21st. I was just wondering if anyone else had any experience/thoughts on this for me.

It sounds like a UTI to me, but you should get in to see the dr and let them run a urine sample to be sure. Now I am not pregnant with twins but I have some swelling in my ankles too. I aske the dr. about it and was told that it is actually a sign of a healthy pregnancy because it is common in this heat! Of course there are other reasons for swelling though so it wouldn't hurt to be seen. They are fairly quick appointments though, you go in pee in a cup, get your weight and blood pressure checked and then listen to the heartbeats and sent on your way. I hope you get your ac fixed soon. This heat is miserable when your pregnant.
Thank you Mistyx5 for my siggy.

I currently am suffering from a UTI, went to my dr last thurs and am on antibiotics. Definitely call your dr, because if it goes to your kidneys it can cause serious problems- I was actually hospitalized during my 1st pregnancy because of one. Be warned tho, antibiotics can cause a yeast infection (which I am also enjoying right now- UGH). Anyway, definitely call your dr tomorrow! KUP!

I agree, call you doctor to be on the safe side.

Sorry about your ac, you're always welcome to come to England and enjoy our British summers.....lol We've only had one or 2 weeks where we just made it to 80 but not a lot of humidity here because it's always so windy.

Anyway, I hope you get it fixed soon and it was wonderful to hear from you.

As for the swelling, it could have been caused by all the walking, especially if you weren't drinking a lot of water. Drown yourself. Your body needs much more water than you think.

As for the uti: frequent bathroom trips with little urine was my only symptom of my uti when I was pregnant with Erin. But I was 33 weeks pregnant, so I thought for sure that was the cause, since I didn't have any pain or anything (unlike my previous uti when I was younger). It put me in L&D all night w/PTL, so definitely talk to your Dr. about it.

Sorry about the A/C!
