DH came up to me yesterday with a quizzical look on his face and asked me if I had bought a breastpump. I was shocked and said "What??" He said there was something on the kitchen table that looked like pieces of a breastpump. I ran into the kitchen to see what the heck he was talking about and on the table were attachments to a handheld steam cleaner I bought a week or so ago. I laughed my butt off and then asked him what kind of breastpumps he'd seen before that looked anything like that. Men!

I pumped exclusively for my daughter for a number of reasons, anyhow when she was 10 weeks she and I went on a trip to visit my parents. On the way home I was flying out of Boston (this was in May of 2002, soon after 911 and their security was very high) anyhow I had my pump with me in a bag and they gave me the 3rd degree over it. I guess they had never seen a breast pump before and thought it was a bomb or something. I was ready to demonstrate to them how it worked!
