I'm thinking not, but need a 2nd opinion. I'm only 5 weeks along and our friends just asked us over for dinner this Sat. They are making stakes, like normal, and I don't know what to do!!! They know I like medium rare steak already. It might seem funny if they make it for me and then I don't eat it. What excuse can I come up with? We really don't want to tell anyone until after the first 12 weeks, since we've been thru one miscarriage. I'm so nervous with this pregnancy I'm almost making myself crazy. Would one steak harm my baby?? I feel like I have this big secret that I can't tell! Anyone, please help!!

After 2 1/2 years of trying & 2 miscarriages, all it took to get pregnant was to buy a house and stop trying! Looks like the 3rd time is the charm!

Honestly, I ate medium rare steak when I was pregnant with this little guy (who is a week old now). Steak is usually a "cleaner" meat. Hamburger and chicken you definitely need cooked, but with steak, anything that is on it is only on the outside, and gets killed in the cooking process. The inside of the meat is "clean."

I don't think one steak will hurt anything.
Thanks to babydoll213 for the siggy! My kids' blog Cora's blog
