But the story is kinda funny in retrospect....

We just recently switched Cori to her new "big girl" room, which used to be our office/guest room, so that I can start setting up the nursery. Both of us totally forgot that there is a lock on the INSIDE of her doorknob. So....today I had a 2 1/2 year old locked into her own room. Of course, she had to go potty as soon as it happened too. I tried for about 1/2 hour to get her to turn the lock and unlock it, she tried but no luck. I eventually had to go get DH's drill and drill out the lock. Now her room will get a new doorknob, without a lock!

ohhhnoooo!! Poor Girl, I hope she made it to the potty OK!!! Good idea on the no lock door knob, but that is something that is easy to overlook. You rock for being able to fix it yourself, I would have had to call my husband, the locksmith, to open the door for me!!

oh no! i can remember the exact same thing happening with my parents and my little sister...except in her case i think she locked herself in her room (she was maybe 3-4) and then refused to unlock it! Glad DH was able to take it apart quickly so potty time wasn't missed!
