Well, I had my stone taken care of today at 10:30am. It took about 2 hours after I was put under, then about 1 1/2 hours in recovery. They were able to break the stone up by shock waves, and the dr said that they got it pretty good, and I might not even see any peices come out because they are now so small.

After the proceedure, I was in quite a bit of pain.....like a horse kicked me in the back!! but now I am fine. I only needed one dose of pain meds. I hope this is all finished now....I'm ready to get back to normal.

So glad you procedure went well Sam. I'll be curious to know how your recovery goes, as my procedure is scheduled for July 23. Hopefully you've seen the end of those nasty stones.

Thanks for the comment on my siggy.....Brandi did such an amazing job!

Kelty, The procedure normally takes 1 1/2 - 2 hrs, so it was about normal....and it went as well as it could have thankfully!

I am a little sore this am, but still feling much better. At the same time they are pulverising the stone, they are beating-up your kideny and surrounding muscle too, so I think that soreness should go away soon. It's much more managable than stone pain!!

Kelly....why are they waiting so long for you......that really stinks! I hope your stones stays put until then, and you are not in pain.
