Hi my name is Jenn and I am about 5 weeks. Ive been doing really well the past two weeks with not thinking about what could happen, but for some reason Ive been worried all day.
I first found out I was pregnant the first of April and I carried my baby until I was 6 weeks 6 days, and lost it on April 28.
I was having really bad constipation and I know that my doctor says that isn't the cause for it, but I feel like Im starting to get that constipation again and Im so scared. I have alittle over a week to go before my milestone. Does anyone have any tips to share on what I can do to calm myself or I dunno. Im just scared and I don't want to talk about this with the girls in my DDC because I don't want the girls that have never experienced this to worry. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not overly thinking or stressing. Its just the same way I felt before I lost my baby last time.

Hi Jenn! Congratulations on your PG! How exciting! I think every one of us that has experienced a loss has had some degree of worry during our PG...some more than others. I worried sooo much with this one. After my m/c in October, I kept feeling like it was going to happen again. It was this board, and the wonderful ladies here, that really helped me get through the worry. They all understand. And, seeing the graduates on this board holding their beautiful little miracles, also helped. Feel free to jump right in, vent, worry, etc... These women really understand.

Setting milestones is the advice thatseems to work really well for everyone. By setting these milestones, the time seems much more manageable. You're only a week from your first milestone. And from there, set another one...your first appt., your first u/s, double digits (10 wks), end of the first tri, etc...

About the constipation...make sure you're drinking tons of water. And, if you're on iron, ask your doc/caregiver if you can switch to a slow release or one with a stool softener. Constipation is a pg symptom and it's not an indicator of anything going wrong! If it's really worrying you, call the doc's office. Hopefully they can ease some of your worry.

Welcome to PAL! It's great to "meet" you and I look forward to getting to know you better!
Let us know how you're doing!

I firm on little goals! I got the advise from the ladies in this group and it has really helped me. I have had two losses so I have two "little goals" ahead of my self. It seems much more reachable than March!
I know what you mean about sharing these thoughts in the DDC. I would give anything to be pregnant without all the worry. I wouldn't want to worry any of those women that haven't experienced a loss.
Try to hang in there. Your "little goal" isn't too far away. I hope you are feeling better soon!
