It was a pretty short appointment. She found the hearbeat easily with the doppler and it was in the 140s. I wised for a sonogram, but figured I may not get one this time. Oh well, it gives me something to look forward to. She said I needed to level off on my weight. In between my ER visit at 5 weeks and my first appointment at 9 weeks I lost weight, but this time I gained quite a bit. She said it was fine this time since I'd lost. This part kind of depressed me. At least the baby seems to be doing well.

sounds like a great appt.

My DR has never said a word to me about weight and with my first I gained 42lbs. With my second I only gained 20 and he was 9+ lbs of them. So far I've gained about 16 or 17 lbs so I'm looking at a 40 lb gain this time too... must be a girl...

THat does kind of suprise me that the Dr would say anuthing about your gain. Oh well - I say don't worry about it as long as you are getting good nutrition.

I am really happy the rest of the visit was good - though - thank goodness for good visits!

Yay for a good h/b!!

And ugh about them mentioning your weight. The practice I'm at now say they don't care what I gain... we'll see if that's true... I probably gained 10 lbs this month!
