My daughter was born with an umbilical hernia (muscle around the belly button didn't close all the way) not uncommon for preterm babies. Anyhow she just turned 4 and while it has healed mostly the Ped said it was time to get it fixed. So I need to schedule her an outpatient surgery They have to put her under for it even though it is only like 1 or 2 stiches in her belly button, because she is so young. I'm sure she will be freaked out about it.

We have our consultation with the surgeon next week. Keep my little peanut in your thoughts please... mostly because of how scary this is to a 4 year old! You guys probably remember me posting about how hysterical she was after she got the stich in her head.

Thank you,
