Hi everyone. I don't know if anyone will remember me, but I was here last year when I was pregnant with my son, Declan. Sadly, he was born still. Our daughter Eva was also born still the in June 2008. I also had a ruptured ectopic in December of 2008.
Anyway, I am pregnant again. I have no idea what the future holds for me, and I feel like I am walking on eggshells because we never found out why we lost our children. So, here I am!

Thank you so much everyone! You've honestly brought tears to my eyes. You have to be the sweetest group of women on the face of the planet!
I am well. It's been a bit of a bumpy road to get here, but here I am. There is a long sad rant about my old OB that I will skip, but the rest of the story is testing, testing, and more testing. Unfortunately, at the end of it all, we still have no idea what happened to Eva and Declan. The pathology on Declan's placenta indicates infection, but we don't know for sure. They have no idea what happened to Eva. They tested DH and I for chromosomal abnormalities (balanced translocation etc) and me for clotting factors. They did find that I had a heterozygous mutation (Factor V) but my high risk OB doesn't feel that is the cause of our losses. She said both babies were good sizes and clotting issues usually result in growth restriction. So, once I enter my second trimester, I will have (at least) once weekly appointments with my high risk OB and ultrasounds every other week. Anyway, that's my long winded update.

I can't imagine how difficult it would be to have 2 stillbirths and not know the cause of either. I truly am amazed by your courage to try again. I hope with all my heart that we both get to bring home our babies this February!
