I had a loss in march and kinda scared about another in the future. How did it go when u called the Ob? I mean did they see you soon. Do the beta #s an early us. Or anything. I'd love any btdt advice. I had a loss before dd and they go me in the next week but I was already almost 8 wks when when we found out and I have a new Ob now so I'm lost.

It depends on your Dr. I've had 2 m/c's and preterm labor and I still wasn't seen by my OB till I was at least 7 weeks, but they did get me in for bloodwork right away. Just call and see what they recommend.

I had a partial molar pregnancy so my ob ran beta's right away. My numbers were too high/increasing too fast so my dr. wanted an early u/s. They wanted one last Thursday, but I was at work. I would have only been 5w2d. I waited til I was 5w6d for it. I have my first actual appt with my dr. tomorrow.

A lot of doctors do things different. I think it all depends on what type of m/c you had before, how many losses, etc. You could just call them to find out. Explain to them your situation and they will figure something out.

Thank you Shortcake for my siggy!

My loss was full term, but my doctor got me in early with both my subsequent pregnancies for an early ultrasound just for my peace of mind. We never drew betas though, it didn't seem to be a concern really, but I've never actually miscarried.

I was just about 7 weeks with Erin for the first u/s just to check for viability (it was just long enough to see the heartbeat, they didn't do any measurements or anything until 11 weeks). With Patrick I was 8 weeks and they did all the measuring for due dates and everything.

It never hurts to ask.
Thanks to babydoll213 for the siggy! My kids' blog Cora's blog
