We have a Snugride 32 that we got for Juliana. She is still in it at 18 months (though, we don't carry it in and out of the house anymore). Our plan is to buy her a Graco Myride 65 like Cori's and put the baby in the snugride. My husband is a police officer so we are serious about our carseats . Cori is rear-facing in her MyRide at age 4 1/2. She is not close to the 40lbs rear-face weight limit, but she is about an inch away from the height limit. We'll have 3 kids rear-facing for a bit, guess the minivan was a good decision .

We ordered a Chicco in September. In October they told us it was backordered until January So we bought a Peg Perego (it was in stock). As soon as we learn how to install it, we're set.

We have 2 infant seats from when the twins were born, they went through 3 babies but they are still great seats and only 2 1/2 years old. I am thinking about getting a convertable for Johnathan though. The downside is that he will be a preemie, I don't think a convertable is great for an itty bitty one so I'll use the infant carriers at first anyway. And in the winter a carrier is nice, don't hae to remove the baby from the seat in the cold...but I'm pretty sure I'll switch him to a convertible pretty early on.

No, we got in an accident when Wesley was in his Graco Snugride, so we got rid of it and he is RF in his Evenflo Triumph. We will likely buy another Graco. I'm just trying to find a travel system I like since I want a girly stroller.

I cannot for the life of me decide on one! I don't know if I want to skip the ifnat seat or not. It seems like a waste of money to buy a seat that he'll use for less then a year! DH and I are both tall and I expect Peter to be as well!

We decided if we do get it we can use it for baby #2 as well. But it took nearly 6 years and 10 miscarriages to get Peter, I am not willing to go through that again so there may not be a #2!

I have read up on carseats & I am not sure which one to go with. Are Britax really safer than most? I want the safest & while money is a concern I am willing to do without other things to insure safety.
