This was eye opening. Why are the companies allowed to make the car seats with toxic products in the first place?

That scares me... sounds like if I had continued smoking it would have been less harmful to her. <-- probably me being over dramatic

Honestly, since fire is a definite risk in a car accident, I don't mind fire retardants in a car seats. If we're in and accident and there's a fire, I'd prefer their seats to be resistant to fire so they can be gotten OUT of the car without being burned...Especially since you aren't going to stick your kid in their seat without clothes on, so there's less likelihood of them absorbing it through their skin.

They put the same fire retardants on kids' pajamas and other clothes, and that's much more likely to be toxic to them.
Thanks to babydoll213 for the siggy! My kids' blog Cora's blog
