Today is day 5 with me having Braxton Hicks contractions at least every 20 minutes all day. It doesn't matter if I am walking, sitting or laying down. I know I am not in early labor as I don't have any other of the signs.

I never had BH before - do these keep going until real labor? Am I going to experience this for the next 6+ weeks?

I've only had a couple contractions so far. Well that I've felt anyways. It is normal.

I had days that I had them for hours and days I had none. You could have them until labor. Hopefully it's not to uncomfortable for you.

I've been having them a lot this afternoon and evening, and it is nerve-rattling since I haven't ever had more then 2 a day before. My dr said they are normal, that the only time they "worry" about them is when they are persistent and don't stop. I'm sure you've talked to your dr about it before so I'd go with whatever they have told you. If mine don't calm down (they were consistent for a couple hours, then stopped for a couple, now started again) I'm going to call my dr..

Mine have kicked themselves up a notch the last few days, too, and I should be keeping a better eye on them. When I'm up and moving all day at work it's hard to tell when they start and end, and sometimes it just feels like my belly is hard most of the day.

My doctor told me that up until 36 weeks I should call if I have pain with them, I have bleeding, I have increased discharge, or if they are more than 4 an hour for 2 hours and don't calm down with rest and fluids. I don't think I've been there yet, but my uterus has sure been busy!

I hope that yours aren't bothering you too much and that it's just a very active few days for your uterus!

Yup. That sounds just like my pregnancy. I am going on 10 weeks of consistent BH contractions. Sorry. I wouldn't want to wish this crap on anyone.

Thank you *kiliki* for my beautiful siggy!

Had them alot with Mia, just like you......none to speak of this pregnancy, except my night at the hospital on vacaction. As long as their 20min apart for days now, and sounds like your sleeping through them, I would think its normal. Did you ask your dr? Since you were spotting before and fingertip, I would probably make sure their not dilating you.....we need a few more weeks in the oven so mommy does not have to visit a nicu baby!
