... and she was WONDERFUL. I told her how anxious I have been, and she immediately reached for the doppler, saying that if we couldn't find the heartbeat with the doppler, we would head to the u/s room. We ended up doing a transvaginal u/s. Baby was literally twirling and dancing in there! Such a relief. My OB decided to have me come back in 2 weeks instead of 4 just so that I wouldn't stress quite as much. She plans to do the doppler or u/s next time, and said if I start stressing out before then, to call, and she will do an u/s for me whenever I need it for peace of mind. I feel so fortunate to have such a supportive OB! As for the cervical polyp, she is now unsure if she will remove it or not, since it is clearly not causing any distress to the baby. She said that she will check it at 16 weeks and make a decision then. If it is removed, it will be during the 2nd trimester, as 1st and 3rd are riskier times to do the procedure. She also gave me lab orders for DH to get his blood type tested. If he is RH negative like me, then I won't need Rhogam shots, which would be VERY nice!! I'm staying on the prometrium (progesterone supplements) until April 13th, when I hit 12 weeks and then I'll be DONE with that poison for good!!!! So, there ya have it, my happy update. Thank you all for your support the last few days when I was feeling so emotional and worrying so much. I'm feeling much more at peace with things now.

Sarah your doctor sounds wonderful. I'm glad you had a good appointment and got to see the baby moving all around. I think having more appointments will really help your stress level. I have to get the Rhogram shot every pregnancy DH is + and I'm - blood types.
