For mommies who have already had your rainbow babies: How did you lose the weight after baby was born or are you still trying to lose the weight? Are you back into your regular clothes yet?

I gained 40 lbs with Jacob and thankfully I have only 1 lb left to go to be back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I breastfeed so that helped with some of the weight, then I started doing weight watchers for nursing moms which helped to lose the rest. WW is a great program and I especially love that you can eat alot of fruit and vegetables which I enjoy. Just this past weekend I finally packed away all of my maternity clothes. although I may weigh what I did before, my body is definitely still stretched out, especially my tummy!!

WW is the only eating program that I can get behind because it is a great tool for making you aware of what you're eating, is not a diet and is actually something you can continue for the rest of your life.

Anyway, I gained very little weight (17lbs) while pregnant because I am overweight to begin with. So, I lost all of the weight in like 2 weeks by breastfeeding.

Courtney you are so right about WW. It is a more about portion control and really being aware of what you are eating and not a diet. I am really enjoying and it is something that I can do long term to help keep the weight off. Makes you think before you put something in your mouth. Do I really want this cookie that is 10 points or would I rather eat something else for the same amount of points.

If it definitely a great program.

Well, I haven't bother with the weight yet, I don't do diets or WW or anything like that, I like to work out to lose the weight. I know I gained about 30 lbs but I have no idea where I am at now. I know my pre-preg clothes still don't fit (pants), so I'm still in maternity clothes for pants, otherwise I use skirts.

With Jax I gained about 18 pounds and lost it pretty quickly by breastfeeding. Even though I lost the weight I needed to start running and I counted calories on myfitnesspal to get my body shape back. I am really hoping it is similar this time. I am running this pregnancy which I wasn't while pregnant with Jax so I don't know what kind of difference that will make.

I am still 20 lbs heavier than I should be and I am running out of excuses. I have done nothing to lose the weight and really need to focus on this!

And Courtney - you are not overweight! You are super beautiful.

Ater my first was 6 years old or so I though hum if this bay weigh is going tomagically melt off it wouldhave by now. I joined WW I'd lost 20lbs and then got pregnantwith Scarlett. After her I lost really well withou doing aything. But in the three losses that followed her birth my weight crept back up and then after I had Beau I was back to my weight in about 2 weeks. After Tessa I swear I gained ten pounds! I am so not happy but at least this time I went a whole month without gaining any weight. YAY!

I gained about 30 pounds with Eleanor, but came back from the hospital about 15 pounds above my pre-pregnancy weight. I lost that weight and another 10 pounds (which was my TTC weight gain) by about 2-3 months postpartum without doing anything other than breastfeeding and chasing around kids all day. My belly is still pretty flabby and I would have to work on my abs to get that back to normal but am I going to ever make the time to do that? NOPE

I gained 25 pounds with Ava and lost it all within like 3 weeks... It just went away. Hahah. I am 30 pounds over weight though before pregnancy. So I am trying to loose that currently.

I gained 27lbs and am 5lbs over my prepregnancy weight. At this point, it doesn't bother me too much since I'm underweight and I want to keep it on so that my milk supply sticks around.

I gained 12 lbs during pregnancy. When I weighed myself a week after birth I was down 15 lbs. I think I've gained some since then because I've been grazing on food all day to deal with the fatigue (but I haven't weighed myself, so I'm not sure).

With my other two kids I was 5lbs below pre-pregnancy at my 6 week checkup. So we'll see next week when I go in for my appt.

I think breastfeeding is the magic bullet (for me). I have not struggled after either boy to take off weight. I was really overweight with Liam and never gained anything pregnant. So after him, I dropped about 50 pounds in 9-months. It was amazing. Then I got pregnant with Kieran (I lost another 5 between 9-15 months). I gained 29 (NOT 30) pounds with him and it was gone in two months. And I have lost 10 more since then...although not recently.

I am not overweight any more, technically. But I like my fitness pal to help me track what I am eating and making sure I am not gaining weight or getting off track with healthy eating. I have always had portions under control. It kinda happens naturally when you have an eating disorder. So I just aim for getting both enough and not too much. But if I ever had to do a diet plan or whatever, WW is the way to go..simply because it is not a diet or a weight loss plan. It's just a nice reality check (since so many people overeat in portions, not necessarily choices) that is easy to work into your life.

I was overweight when I got pregnant. I got up to 195 the day I delivered which was only 20 lbs more than pre pregnancy. It seemed to melt off of me. I am currently 15 lbs less than pre pregnancy and would love to loose just a few more pounds buy my supply is really shaky so I will work on that more once I am no longer breast feeding.

I'm not currently trying to lose weight yet (DD is only a little over a week old), but when I do I will go back to counting calories and exercising a bit more than I did before I got pregnant with her. It worked for me and I had lost 60lbs right before I got pregnant with her and only gained 27lbs total, so I'm hoping that I can get it off and start working on the rest of the weight I need to lose. I really want to tone more too because I'm noticing that more with the more weight I lose.

I gained over 30 pounds and look a decent amount by the time I left the hospital. They made me get on a scale...booo!!!!! But I think a good bit of my weight gain was due to pre-e swelling. Anywho, I'm now down to 3 pounds away from my pregnancy weight. I have to attribute this all to breastfeeding. I haven't lost weight like this since my first born. I still held on to 20 lbs from my son's pregnancy back in 2004. I'm hoping to lose that weight this time around. I had no idea about ww and a nursing diet. I'm so going to look into that.

❤ Big Thanks to Vicki, trishosaurus, & Shortcake for the great siggies of my kids! ❤
