Do you plan on carving a pumpkin for Halloween? Will your or DH/SO do the carving? Do you plan on doing anything with the seeds?

Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy

We will be carving a pumpkin, typically we each do one and DH helps DD1 carve hers...we will see if we all get our own pumpkins this year, might just get one for DD1 and one other one.

We usually roast the seeds...mmmm!

We usually carve one or two. The kids plan the look and the hubs does the carving. We always roast the seeds.

Thank you Shortcake for my beautiful siggy!

I had all these wonderful ideas last year about how much fun DD would have scooping the seeds out of the pumpkin (since she loves getting dirty), but for some reason as soon as she touched it she flipped out and wanted no part of it. I think i'll scoop it and she can wash the seeds and we'll roast them and carve the pumpkins to put on our patio. I think i'm going to do a competition this year with DH to see who can carve the best pumpkin. He would normally put no effort but once its a competition I think he might actually do something that surprises us!

I love pumpkin carving. I hate pumpkin carving when I have to do it for 7 kids.
If we get invited to do it with my BIL's family, then I'll break down, otherwise, I think those precut ones with the light in them are great

This will be the first year we do it with Jax. We picked up a pumpkin when we went to a pumpkin patch last week. We will probably roast the seeds. I'm most excited to see Jax scoop out the insides.
