For Mommies: Did you have baby sleep in your room when baby was a newborn? At what age did you or do you plan to move baby to his/her own room? If you've moved baby already, how did baby do when you moved baby to his/her own room?

For Pregnant Mommies: Do you plan on having baby sleep in your room? At what age do you think you'll move baby to his/her own room if you plan on rooming in with baby for awhile?

I had both of my kids stay in my room after they were born. I moved Jackson to his own room around 7 months when he started sitting up in bed. I didn't want him to sit up and see us and always expect us to be in the room with him when he woke up. With Jacob i didn't move him until around 9 months. We had bought a new house right before Jacob was born and his room was on the other side of the house and it was so much harder for me to move him. With Jackson he was just right across the hallway when I moved him. Both of my boys thankfully did great when I moved them. I think it was harder on me than them when I moved them to their own room.

Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy

Marsi was in her own room for a while, then while I was working and still nursing at night, she came into our room in her pack n play. She stayed there until she was 17 months. When we moved she moved into her own room. It went really well. She was still in her same bed always. When we transitioned her to a twin bed, that was a rough few nights, but she has completely adjusted to it. The next baby will be in our room for a similar amount of time as well. We liked having her in there so we could always check on her.

Thank you *kiliki* for my beautiful siggy!

I kept both girls in my room for a few weeks after they were born, nursing is a lot easier when they are right there! When Reagan was 5 weeks and started STTN, we moved her to her own room and she was completely fine. For Addy, we moved her at around 8/9 weeks, she still wasn't STTN, but she was a noisy sleeper, so we moved her. She adjusted well too. No extra fussing. I was completely fine with moving them, meant more sleep for me And we had the Angel monitor with the movement sensor, so I was comfortable with her being in a different room.
