Mommas that had natural child birth ie no meds or epi have you got any recommendations on books to read. I thought I would ask over in the natural child birth forum but thought I'd ask here also.

Also did you guys take any classes on natural childbirth, ie lamaze or something like that. Just wondering. I am determined not to get an epi this time because of how bad it was last time but I also hate pain so I want to be prepared.

Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy

I really liked "Homebirth in the Hospital" by Stacy Marie Kerr. I thought there were some good points in "Husband-Coached Childbirth" by Bradley (the Bradley method).
I also read "The Complete Lamaze Guide: Giving Birth With Confidence" and thought it had some good points too. Those are ones I'd recommend.

I didn't end up taking any classes, and it worked out ok for me.

Honestly, my best advice is to take it one contraction at a time and try NOT to look at the big picture. And to not let yourself be scared of the pain. I had a med free vbac with Jamison, after mentally preparing my entire pregnancy for a repeat c/s. He came a month early, and I was already 6 cm by the time I got to the hospital. So yeah, no mental prep ahead of time for this mama!!!!
