Hey. I am 5 weeks 3 days and I have had fairly bad menstrual like cramps since finding out. It's not all the time and I do have IBS and have had some intestinal issues too. My Q is what does an ectopic
Feel like? Is it like menstrual cramps or a more sharp pain? I am super worried. I see the dr on Thursday.

I haven't had one myself, but when I went to the ER early on this pregnancy (I hadn't seen a doctor yet because they won't see you until you're 8 weeks) because of spotting (the nurse wanted me to go to the ER when I called to rule out ectopic), the nurse there told me if it was ectopic it's more sharp pains than cramping, but I don't know for sure. Do you have a nurse connection you can call with your doctor?

I have never had one either but I do know it is very painful. I would call your dr and they should be able to do an ultrasound and see if it is ectopic. You might also PM Katie - Shortcake, I believe that she has had an ectopic.

I'm praying that your little one is ok in there. Let us know how you are doing.

Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy

I have not had an ectopic either. However, if you even suspect that might be a possibility, I would call and let your doctor know. They will want to check right away or they might be able to ease your mind. Let us know how you are!

I don't know what it's like either... but I have heard that it's so painful you would know something is wrong and go to the ER. I think it makes you sick too. ALTHOUGH, I have also heard from a lady who had one that it's painful but she wasn't in that extreme pain that people talk about. That she didn't know.

Sorry I'm no help. I hope everything is okay with you and baby!! Keep us updated when you can. T&P!

I had an ectopic pregnancy but didn't know... I didn't have symptoms. They caught it from my HCG numbers and U/S.

Best of luck!
