Babies grow too fast. I'm in denial that my teeny tiny outgrew his size newborn outfits a little after two weeks old. I didn't get a picture of him in each outfit It's very bittersweet. I don't think the 0-3 month outfits will fit Toren's length for long. My baby is changing so fast...

Awww... I think it's impressive he lasted almost a month in them! How big was he when he was born again?

Crazy enough to try all over again for a second together baby! Hoping for a much less wild ride this time!

TTC with PCOS for 5 very long years. Annovulatory cycles. Multiple doctors. Different meds. One horrible loss. And then one wonderful success, born 2/18/14.

I never knew until that moment how badly it could hurt to lose something you never really had. - Missed Miscarriage at 10 weeks - 3/26/13

Awwww - they do grow so fast! We went through that too. After a few months, we stopped taking pics every 5 hours, used the last diaper instead of buying a bigger size, let onsies just hang unsnapped instead of going to a bigger size or even just cut the bottoms off to get more use out of them.

We mourned the passing time and we still do! Not just the time flying by and our growing child but the time we are missing with eachother. We were only married 5 mos when our son was born and we see the years flying by and eachother getting older. It is scary that we might be getting older and missing something.

But we try to use this knowledge to cherish each day, make the most of the beautiful moments we do have. Hug our child more, hug eachother more and forgive and forget.

Smile and cherish each moment and don't mourn the minutes.

I was just thinking this about Jacob the other day. Makes me so sad that he has grown up so fast. It seems like just yesterday he was my teeny tiny baby and now he's almost 2.

Just enjoy every minute because it does go by way too fast. I swear I blinked my eyes and now Jackson is almost 5 and going to be starting kingergarten this fall.

Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy

Awe, yes. Way too fast. Marsi never fit in newborn at all. I had a short fat baby who is now in the 90th percentile on everything. It is hard to see them grow so fast.

Thank you *kiliki* for my beautiful siggy!

Oh we know that feeling here too! Ava was only in NB for like 2 weeks. Haha.

They do grow so fast. Pretty soon you'll be packing up his 6 month clothes, then his 12 months clothes etc. *sigh* It's a hard thing to do. I have to go buy my daughter brand new clothes cause she doesn't fit in any of her 12-18 month clothes. I'll be buying 24-2t clothes.

Embrace it now mama cause those babies grow up fast!

Awwww! I know it's a great thing he is growing but at the same time I can see how it would be sad! I can't wait for more pics of Toren! How are you feeling Amy?

It is sooooo hard! I spent the first few months mourning all the growing and made myself so upset. I ended up having to change my outlook and look for the positives with each change.

I had to fight back tears while reading all of the replies. Hormonal much? He's just so small and perfect and I want to be perfect for him, but sometimes I feel like I wont be good enough and I will seriously screw him up somehow. I think we all probably have that feeling at one point or another.

Toren was 8 lbs 2.5 oz at birth, 7 lbs 11 oz when discharged from the hospital and back up to 8 lbs 2 oz at his 2 week appointment. We are both doing pretty great. Toren has his fussy days but I think for the most part he's a pretty happy go lucky baby. I haven't had the baby blues hit me yet, so I'm hoping I manage to avoid that wave of emotions completely. I did cry when I was having breastfeeding issues in the beginning but those are gone now. I cried another time from lack of sleep and a fussy baby, but I have been holding together very well.

I look forward to watching Toren grow, but it is all happening sooo fast!! He's already holding his head up on his own, has rolled from stomach to back several times (although it may have been accidental) he holds himself up on my chest with his arms and is already kicking his feet (like they do before they learn to scoot/crawl).

They do grow so fast. It's sad and amazing all at once. My DD never got to wear any nb clothes (sigh). I've been waiting to buy any clothes yet to see what size this LO will be when she gets here.
Glad to hear your family is doing well

Aww growing little boy! I remember the exact moment I realized Kody was too big for his NB outfit he was wearing. It was like, nooo! I took a picture of him squeezed into it because I just couldn't bear having to put it away. Hah. Now he is 8 months but wearing 12 month size clothes! Big ol' baby.

I'm scared of this! Wait so long for a little baby then they just go and grow up on you!

Glad to hear all is going fairly well, Amy. How has your MIL been? (Or are we avoiding that topic!)

Hugs to you and him!

Glad you're doing well! It's crazy how fast they grow. My little nephew is about 2 months now and he changes so much every time I see him! It's crazy.
