Yep, I went ahead and did it! I told myself that I would just stop worrying and look forward to my appointments to hear the hb, but I just couldn't resist! It should get here in about a week, and my 12 weeks appt. is on thursday next week so I'm going to pay attention to exactly how my doctor does it. Hopefully being able to listen in on the little bean will relieve my stress!

I rented a doppler and it was the best thing I have done - it has kept me sane and honestly I can't even imagine what I'd be like if I didn't have it. I've had it since about 12 weeks and I love it!! Anytime I have a panic day I go home and listen and feel better. I couldn't imagine waiting the 4 weeks in between appts after a m/c history.

Same here. I love my doppler and it gives me the peace of mind to enjoy being pregnant. Whenever I don't feel the baby move for a long while, I check the heart rate and I am usually rewarded by a couple of really strong kicks (I don't think the baby likes it very much).
