I'm having some uncomfortable sharp pains way up high on my belly, radiating from where my stomach muscles attach to my ribs. It's muscular-feeling, not uterus/baby-feeling, so I'm sure it's some combination of pregnancy stretching my abs and probably me overdoing it with physical activity.

Do you think it would be okay to use an ice pack up there for just a few minutes?

If it's muscular, Ice would make them constrict and tighten, wouldn't it?

Could try a little ice, and see how baby reacts to it. I've heard of moms using ice packs to try to get a breech baby to turn! Maybe some warmth might be good?

I had the exact same thing happen after Christian was born. It didn't happen with my other two boys. My dr said that it was muscular. I don't know about the ice. I know when it would happen to me I would lay down and try to stretch out. Mine was really bad for the first few weeks after Christian was born but it hasn't happened in about 3 weeks so I'm hoping that it has corrected itself. My dr told me if it didn't get better that I would need to see a dr about getting it fixed. Hopefully yours will get better soon also.

I know how painful it is. I would literally cry out in pain. thankfully the few times it happened when I was holding Christian we were sitting on the bed so I could just lay him down and deal with the pain. It is terrible.

Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy
