I just realized that I've graduated from checking the TP every time to only checking every 2-3 times I go to the restroom! That's a huge step for me!

Woohoo! That's a good thing! I don't know that I'll be a tp checker, since I didn't miscarry. But when I get to the 3rd trimester I'll be one of those checking movement ALL the time! lol!
Thanks to babydoll213 for the siggy! My kids' blog Cora's blog

That's good to hear! I remember checking every time I went to the bathroom plus running to teh bathroom to check for blood ever time I felt wet down there and every time I had a cramp. I can't pin point the exact moment I stopped but I never check anymore.

Yay! That's great.
I've made it to occasionally forgetting to check, especially in the middle of the night. At one point I realized that it was pretty ridiculous to keep checking, because if I was really bleeding then I would see it when I flushed, but I still check a lot anyway. At least I'm no longer making special trips to the restroom just to check.

In reality I always "check" - but that is normal for me since for years I had abnormal af & occasional breakthrough bleeding - so I check no matter what even though af has been regular for 7 yrs & even when I am not pg I look at the TP. I can say that now I have quit expecting to see anything. So I guess it's kind of like not checking - I am not consciously checking. I took my pads off finally & that has been quite freeing. I had developed a pimple that the Dr said was likely due to the irritation of wearing a pad daily for months that does not bleed & she suggested I drop them & I did & I have to say I feel better not wearing them - like it's a step of faith. What is odd is that I have never just starting bleeding & then saw it on my panites - it always was first noticeable when I wiped - so I am not quite sure what my pad obsession was - it felt like a security blanket though - like I was "prepared". Whatever it was/is I am glad it's gone. I don't feel out of the woods - but I also don't feel completely on the edge - I guess I am somewhere in-between.

I was a consistant tp checker too.. what odd little things feel like "freedom" to us, huh? Any day now, you will look back and realize you don't do it at all anymore. Was a little over half way for me, but I had a lot of spotting this pg - A LOT, so that may have drug it out a little.
