I am feeling upset tonight. I wish that my first appointment with my doctor was before 8 weeks. I am sooo nervous about losing this baby. I just wish that I had some kind of reassure that everything is going ok.

Sigh............will being anxious ever leave me.

try to relax and think about other things.

But to be truthful I dont think the anixity will go away. I still have it everyday ( different day, different reason )

hope all goes well. Just remember you can always go to the ER if something does not seem like it is going well.

Thank you Brittany for my very pretty siggy!

Have you asked the doctor's office of you can come in sooner? When I first called after finding out I was pg (at around 4wks), they made me an appt for 8wks. I explained to the receptionist that I had just had two miscarriages and could they do anything sooner for me just for peace of mind. She had one of the nurses call back, and they got me in the next day! I had hcg #s tested and an utrasound done at six weeks, all before my first "official" appt at eight weeks.
So I guess it never hurts to ask... I don't think of my ob/gyn office as particularly good or anything, I think they're probably about average, and they really helped me out.

I would explain your situation and ask to be seen sooner. When I originally called my OB's office, they said that they would see me between 6 and 8 weeks. I asked if they were sure as I had just had 2 losses in the past year. They checked (not sure if it was with a nurse or doctor) and then told me to come in that day to have my beta levels done. Then they had be go back 2 days later to have more beta numbers done. They then scheduled me for an u/s before my first scheduled appointment. So, it never hurts to ask.

I have to say ditto. You seldom get more than you ask for...in anything. Don't be shy - tell them what you want - the very worst they can do is say no. Best wishes sweetie.
