Hi...I'm new to this board and I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Candace (35 yrs old) and I'm newly pregnant again. My DH is Seth (40 yrs old) I have two lively DDs, ages 15 and 8 and two wonderful step kids. Sadly, I've also had 4 losses...7wks, ectopic, 12.5 wks and a chemical pregnancy.

I'm trying to be optomistic about this pregnancy but I can't say that I'm doing a very good job of it. I fluctuate between just feeling numb to feelings of impending doom.

I had my first blood work done last week at 17 DPO. My HCG was 326 and my progesterone was 16.6.
My ob said those #'s were okay but I'm not convinced of that. 16 seems too low to me.

What do you all think? Is a 16 Prog. level too low?

I'll receive my second results on mon. or tues. and I'm praying that my HCG doubles.

Nice to meet you all,
(and a big hello those of you that I already know!)

Try not to worry too much. My progesterone was 11 at about 6 weeks. It's been pretty much borderline ever since and I'm due in december. If your doctor was worried, you'll get the suppositories (which upped my numbers but haven't made me sky rocket).

If you have questions, I'm here.

Good luck!

I just wanted to wish you a healthy pregnancy. Don't worry too much about the progesterone although you could ask your doctor about progesterone supplements. I think a level of 10 is enought to sustain a pregnancy although doctors like to see it higher. Take care.
