I've read these forums several times since I found out I was pregnant. And they are all so helpful!! My first OB appt didn't go well...after 6 weeks, the dr. couldn't see the yolk sac in the uterus. An ultrasound confirmed it was a tubal pregnancy and I had laparascopy surgery to remove it. I haven't heard of this being very common and I was wondering if anyone has had this and if they were able to get pregnant afterward. My dr. says my chances of it happening again are higher since I've already had one. Now I'm terrified to try again!

I am so sorry that you are going through this. I have not had an ectopic pregnancy but I am sure someone will be able to give you some information here. A friend of mine did have an ectopic pregnancy and got pregnant very soon after and now has a healthy baby.

From what I know, the risk of another ectopic does go up but I think it's still very low.

Good luck getting pg again.

Thanks so much for your reply. I was devastated when I got the news about it being ectopic and was very surprised that I hadn't heard of more people that've had it. I'm glad that your friend had a healthy baby. It's the first positive thing I've heard!!! Thanks again.
