We saw the Nurse practioner yesterday and she gave me another preg test and it of course was positive! She asked us a series of questions and determined that my due date is Oct 18, 2007. We go back in 2 weeks to see the Dr. and to have another exam.

I was suprised when she said lets go to the next room and do an ultrasound!! I thought I wouldn't have one for a while. She wanted to make sure of my due date but it was still exciting. Since I am only about 6 weeks along, all we could see was the sac and a small little pea shape in side but it was still special to see!!!

We had been waiting until yesterdays appointment to tell our son as well as our families and friends. Do you think we should start telling everyone???

Congrats on a great first appointment! As far as when to tell, it's completely up to you. We waited until after our appointment at 10 weeks, when doc said the risks of m/c were very slim and released me from "high risk" status. But we'd had two losses in a row due to chromosomal issues, so it just made more sense for us to wait longer. I told much earlier with my first and second pg's.

congratulations on a great appointment Tanya - and what a lovely surprise, being able to see your little little bean!!!!! My original EDD with Gaby was October 19!

I think it's all very much a personal choice, when to start telling family, I told everyone important straight away, but waited until about 10w to tell everyone else
