When I was 16 I had a miscarriage at around 6 weeks.I am now 18 weeks pregnant, this is my second pregnancy,on Tuesday about noon I was involved in an auto accident,It was pretty bad, luckily my car is pretty sturdy but I was pulled over for an ambulance passing and some 16 year old kid was driving behind me and wasnt paying the least bit of attention and didnt see me pulled over and slammed right into the back of me,he totaled his car,the entire front end was crunched in.They rushed me to the hospital in an ambulance and they heard good fetal heart tones right after I got there, then they took blood from me and they said everything was normal including some KB test that tests to see if fetal blood is mixed with mine I guess, then they heard the heartbeat again before I left the hospital and everything has been okay so far but I`m terrified that there could be a tear or a rip in the placenta and they didnt notice it.But its been over 72 hours.I havent had any cramping or bleeding or anything. Can someone please reasure me?

It sounds like you should be OK if you haven't bled or cramped up so far, but I can see how you're so scared! Thank goodness the baby is all right. Keep us informed!

It is amazing what these babies can handle. I am sure that everything will be fine. I am glad that you are okay as well.
