lately the hb sounds so far away..is it normal to sound so far away and have muffled sounds going in and out of it..sometimes my hb even runs into it. could the muffled or staticy sounds be it moving around? am i being paranoid?

I get that all the time too. It's usually the placenta in the way. Once I freaked out so much because I thought the baby's heartbeat was going way too fast, but it was mixed with my heartbeat!

oh im glad to know im not the only one! Its hb was 168 about a half hour ago..it ranges from about 150-170 normally. It also moved yesterday..it had been near the right side of my belly button for a week and now its way over on my left side..well not way but about 3 or 4 inches from my belly button..its getting higher too each week

it's to be expected - your little one is moving around soooo much right now! it is also possible you have an anterior placenta (placenta on front uterine wall, rather than back wall - absolutely fine - i had one).. The swooshy staticy noise is most likely the umbilical cord - I remember we could usually hear the blood pulsing through the umbilical cord whenever my m/w used the doppler!

if you're picking up a h/b that is the impt thing!

sometimes the doc still can't find tyler's on the first try becuase of where the placenta is...and he still is moving around. We will find it and then he moves and its vanished!

Yup mine is the exact same way. My baby tends to stay low though. Sometimes its really loud and other times its not and I hear my hb too. My babies is always 150-173 as well. Its usually around 165 most the time.
