I have a ?, I had a missed m/c at about 10 wks, on July 26th I had a d&c. My dr gave me the go ahead to start TTC after I got my period. I got it about 34 days after the d/c. We began TTC- I am about 32 days into my cylce and havent got my period yet so I tested and got a positive. Of course we are thrilled- but I just want to be sure that it wouldnt be a "false" positive- residual hcg from the miscarriage? Thanks

Hi! I would think that since you had a period after your m/c, and since the m/c was over two months ago that it wouldn't be residual at all. Normally it take up to a few weeks for your hcg levels to return to normal (the higher they were, the longer they may take to return to zero).

I had a D&C on May 25th, never got my period, and took a preg. test the beginning of July that was positive. Trust me - I immediately called the doctor to ask if this was positive because of my previous pregnancy. There was no hesitation from him that there wasn't a chance. I had to go in and have my hcg levels checked every two days for two weeks to make sure that they were doubling the way that they should.

Please keep us posted! It certainly sounds like you're pregnant to me
