You can go see some new pictures I just posted here: http://www.justmommies.com/boards/index.ph...0&start=100 There are a couple from the first snow of the season a couple of weekends ago, as well as some from the Christmas party my mom had at her house yesterday for her 3 oldest grandkids.

Let me tell you about the party. She really went all-out!! First of all, she had a lady from her work who is an expert seamstress make all the little aprons that they are wearing. The two girls' match exactly (to avoid fights). She read them the gingerbread man story and then they got to decorate their own individual gingerbread men and stick them in the oven (they were already cooked, but they didn't know that!). Then they went upstairs and got to decorate a "kid" tree that my mom set up for them. They will each have their own ornament that they will contribute each year and add to to the tree. They also made little beaded candy canes for the tree. While they were upstairs, the gingerbread men hopped out of the oven! You should have seen them looking for their cookies. It was SO cute and they were totally intrigued. They found them outside on a little bench on my mom's porch. After that, they got to decorate cupcakes and make fudgeball sticks for their parents for dessert later that night. They also made individual pizzas that we all ate that night. They were actually pretty darn good! My mom taught them a song to sing, but we forgot to do that when the parents showed up. It was "Little Cabin In The Woods". At the end of the party, she let them open a wrapped gift. It was a stuffed gingerbread man (gingerbread girl for the girls) that sways back and forth and sings "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". Cute!! They all had a blast, but were DEAD tired last night. My mom is planning to do this annually, but only the grandkids who are 3 and up will be able to come. Good idea, mom!! Oh, and the moms and dads weren't invited to the actual party---this was just for "Nona" (what they call my mom) and the grandkids. I only got to be there to take pictures because I didn't have another little one to chase around all day. My mom's sure a trooper!!

How cute is that!!! Your mom is so sweet for doing that for the kids. They are going to have such wonderful memories of spending time with g-ma when they get older.

Yep....that's my mom for ya! She's very creative. It's a good thing too, because my sister and I aren't very creative at all. My mom has helped my sister out tremendously in decorating her house and will start on mine as soon as we buy a new one, I'm sure! The grandkids just love her too. She's a fun grandma.
