what are some if any easter traditions you have or had in the past?

this year me fiance and tyler are going over to his mothers for easter dinner
we got tylers easter pics done on friday he was very grumpyso they didnt come out that great but still cute
i got him a ducky easter basket.
when my grandma was around me and my whole family would go over to her house and even though we are all way to old to hunt for eggs the grandkids me included would hunt for some or help the younger kids do it.
after she passed on family doesnt get together or anything.
This will be my first easter with a lil one so i plan to start new traditions with my lil one and my lil family.

what are your plans for easter? Having the grandparents over (and parents) for a brunch!
get any bunny pics with the kids? Not this year, she doesn't want to
easter baskets? Yep
what are some if any easter traditions you have or had in the past? No traditions, per se..just coloring eggs, easter egg hunt, the usual.

We're not Christian and don't plan to make Easter a family holiday. Will's working, and Caitie and I will probably go up to my mom's for dinner - mom and stepdad are religious, but with three crazy grandkids, they make the day about family with no religious talk. Makes some people uncomfortable, but I prefer it that way. And there's no way I'm going to pass up boiled dinner made by someone else.

Traditions? I'm trying to start a new one. Think: we have Easter eggs. We have the Easter bunny. Bunnies do NOT lay eggs. So, Easter CHICKEN. I've got my 7yo nephew convinced that the Bunny beats up the Chicken every year and steals her eggs so he'll get all the credit for them. He feels badly for the chicken, and always insists that we go to my grandparents' house to give their chickens some extra food. Hehehe...
