What type of laundry soap do you use? Liquid, powder, "action packs"?

I used to be a liquid soap lover because i didn't think it was as messy as powder. However since starting cloth diapering i'm a powder lover now. My dad likes buying the cheap "Xtra" liquid laundry soap while i spring for the extra $4 and get Cheer powder. At least with the Cheer your clothes come out of the wash smelling clean. Can't say that for the Xtra liquid. I use Tide powder on our cloth diapers though. So my small box of Tide is hands off to everyone else.

I use liquid. Honestly I have no idea what we're using right now! Gain I think... I use a store brand free and clear liquid for my cloth diapers.

I always use liquid and eco friendly at that but last week I decided that all the clothes were dingy and dull and some still dirty looking and I broke down and bought Tide with Bleach alternative. And of course now they look better but the guilt is killing me. So I decided I'd use the Tide maybe once a month.
