Hi all, new to this! I've been on Mirena IUD for 16 mo. Really haven't had a period since starting on it.

About 2 weeks ago, I had really bad lower back pain that wouldn't go away and I couldn't sleep. Normally a visit to the chiropractor fixes this, but it didn't this time. Then, 5 days ago, I had cramping, again something that I haven't had at all since being on Mirena. I started brown spotting a bit. The same the next day. Spotting and cramping stopped for a few days, only to start again yesterday.

What do you think?

Also the gyno that placed it cut the strings way too short so I have never been able to tell if it is in place. Luckily, I already had a gyno appt scheduled for the end of this week.
