I thought about doing a colour theme this year, but we both were given the ornaments from our childhood (we each came from a family where you got a new one each year (and still do from his grandmother!) ) So we use those for an eclectic looking tree!

Nope, anything and everything goes on it. I'd love to do a theme tree someday, but right now I'm loving the hand made ornaments of my kids and all the special ones we've collected over the years. Each one seems to have a story that gets retold every year as we put them up.

Not really. We're actually pretty low on ornaments. We have started collecting them since DD was born and she makes a few for us each year. I imagine DS will start helping out this year. I love the idea of a themed tree, but I can't see it ever being a reality in this house.
