In Ontario I did not have to pay anything when I had Elle in the hospital. If I was say to have had private or semi private then I would have to pay the differeence but this time I have insurance through DH that will pick up the difference so I am hoping to go that route this time. Three women and three babies in one small room was not very good LOL Since circumsion is no longer deemed a necessary health thing it is not covered.

Everything to do with pregnancy and labour and delivery is paid for. Any tests a Dr or midwife order are paid for.

Circumcision isn't medically necessary and is considered cosmetic surgery so that is out of pocket.

All hospital costs are covered except for prenatal classes which are optional. Same with circumcision - it's cosmetic/optional so not covered.
