Band: We have soooo many but I like BNL, OLP, Nickelback, the Hip, Tea Party, Moist, Avril
Actor: Mike Myers
Dish: Poutine for sure
Store: Probably Canadian Tire, I don't think we have many other good ones that weren't American first
Province: Ontario but Alberta and BC are right on its tail
City: Bracebridge, or anywhere else in Muskoka
TV Show: Corner Gas and Degrassi, I still am addicted to both
Movie: Men with Brooms, Les Boys... does anyone remember "The Dog who Stopped the War"?
Sport: Hockey, of course

I'd also like to add two categories that maybe only seem important to me because I like to eat but when I was living in the States, I missed our chocolate bars and restaurants. It's hard to get Cadbury chocolate bars such as Crunchie, Caramilk, Mr.Big, Crispy Crunch and Wunderbar. You also can't get EatMores, Aeros, Coffee Crisp or Smarties. Smarties in the US are the little rolled up candies that look like Tylenol, we call them Rockets in Ontario.
As for restaurants, it's hard to find East Side Mario's and Harvey's and I have a hard time doing without either of those.
Here is a really cool website I used to order from when I played hockey in the States and needed a fix, you will be surprised at what is exclusive to us!

Band: Great Big Sea, and Doc Walker
Actor: The aboriginal guy from Corner Gas, or Colin Mochrie
Dish: Roast beef (from my Dad's farm in Manitoba), cooked with potatoes and onions right in the pot with it.
Store: One of the stores from my home town. It's a grocery store, coffee shop, movie rental store, sells slush puppies, and ice cream!!!
Province: To visit - tie between Northern Ontario and Alberta - to live - Manitoba
City: To visit - Toronto - although I'd LOVE to visit Montreal!
TV Show: Corner Gas, baby! I LOVE that show!!!!!!
Movie: Strange Brew!
Sport: To watch - hockey, To play - slowpitch (anything involving beer!)

Two things bother me about advertising of beef in Canada bother me. Why do advertisers boast of angus the the most? And why is Alberta beef beef supposed to be superior? My dad is neither an Albertan nor an Angus man, he's a limousin farmer from Manitoba - does that make his beef less worthy? I think that quite often the rest of Canada forgets that there are cattle farms right across the country, and that one part of the country doesn't raise superior beef from the rest. JMHO......... I've often wondered it silently, and am just voicing it for the first time.

Oh my! I forgot about Mr. Dressup! How could I forget him????? I'd have to say only the pre 1990 episodes, though. I hated the new characters.
