I think it would be interesting to know what everyone is doing/taking to treat their PCOS! Or if you already got your BFP/baby, what you took during TTC/pregnancy. Maybe I'll turn it into a sticky... I know that is the first thought I have when I see success stories! Let's help each other out ladies!

My pills:
With breakfast- B-Complex vitamin, 500 Met, 500 Cinnamon
With lunch- Whole Foods brand Prenatal, 500 Met
With dinner- 690 Omega-3 (Nordic Naturals purified fish oil), 500 Met, 500 Cinnamon, 100 B6

I am also TRYING to get back into my regular yoga routine because I have so much belief in the benefit of a steady, regular, medium-high intensity practice. But I got sick, then my tendonitis in my shoulder flared up, and now I'm sick again. I'll update when I'm back in the swing again.

Also planning on adding daily red raspberry leaf tea to help with my uterine lining issues.
IT'S A BOY!!!!

THANK YOU to *Sharon* for my perfect siggy.

I take Whole Food Brand Prenatals & my thyroid pill in the morning, then I take 750mg of Met right before bed.

Not sure if it's safe to take RRT while nursing (I assume it would be since I took it while preg)...or Cinnamon or extra B6....I have an appt with my MD for my yearly thyroid check at the end of the month so I'll ask her then...or I could always bug my midwife via FB

during my pregnancy I took 500 Met during the first trimester, continued my thyroid pill for the duration, in the third trimester I took Magensium right before bed to help with Restless Leg syndrome

Oh I forgot to add that I wasn't taking Met or any fertility drugs when my DD was conceived. We had been trying for months, my DH was going over seas so the doc gave me BCPs to protect my ovary (only have one) while DH was gone. I was waiting on AF to start the BCPs and . . . she never showed. I had a BFP instead. DH was in Iraq and I knew for 2 weeks before I could tell him!!!

I'm taking Clomid to ovulate since I don't on my own, but for my other symptoms I'm pretty much just exercising (running & yoga) and eating a diabetic diet.

I might start the cinnamon though, I've heard good things about it.

Big huge hugz and thanks to tasha_mae for my beautiful siggy!

Lunch: Metformin 500 mg
Supper: Metformin 500 mg

To stay PG:
When I wake up: 2 progesterone tablets

hi! hope you dont mind if i join the convo?

I just started my routine a few months ago when i was diagnosed with PCOS.

They have me on 1500mg of met a day
YAZ once a day until we start clomid
prenatals once a day
biotin three times a day
b6 twice a day
calcium chews (yuck)
and another vitamin hmmm i dont remember what it is... i hardly take it makes me sick

so why the cinnamon? I am curious? does it help?
my PCOS symptoms have not been helped at all with all of this. i have an appt on the 30th to talk about it and maybe start clomid.
I DEF ovulated for the first time this cycle in a long time... so that is good. BUT being on YAZ... ya know!
Any other suggestions or vitamins that anyone used or anything i could do to help with the symptoms?
my hair is just falling out so bad...
my face and chest HAVE NEVER been this broken out..
and my poor belly!!! i gained 20 lbs in the last 6 months and i swear it is all in my belly.

I just started my routine, so there's things I plan on adding and things I may need to change. But for now, I'm taking:

150 mg Soy Isoflavones
1000 mg Vitamin C (timed release)
Prenatal vitamins (1 a day)
1000mg of apple cider vinegar (weight management benefits)
3 probiotics capsules (Acidophilus with bifidus and FOS - 4 billion active cells per capsule) once a day

I also picked up a bottle of Vitex, but after reading info claiming SIs have the same effect as Clomid and you can't take Clomid and Vitex at the same time, I decided I'm going to just stick with the SIs for now, and if it doesn't help me ovulate, I'll start taking the Vitex instead.

Morning: 500 mg. Vitamin C, 1000 mg. cinnamon, 1 calcium/magnesium/zinc tablet

Afternoon: 400 mcg folic acid, 500 mg. vitamin C, 1 calcium/magnesium/zinc tab

Evening: 1 calcium/magnesium/zinc tab, 1 prenatal (prescription)

I just started my calcium supplement and the cinnamon, because, until I get my meds, I need to feel like I am doing SOMETHING...I read about cinnamon on several sites, saying that it can help with PCOS...and I just really need calcium, cuz I don't get enough from foods ...lol...maybe it will help me gain some weight??

Thanks GraysMama for my beautiful new siggy
