SUCK! I believe they are all related to ttc. Well the hotflashes are probably from clomid. Its not horrible hot flashes, Im just super cranky when hot. I also found Im iritable. Well not me so much as Cody. Poor guy. I just want to be left alone and he will come into the bedroom where I am doing something and start talking to me and Im just like snapping on him. I feel bad for the guy cuz he askd me why am i so moody lately.. are you pregnant.. well dumb question to ask considering I just had a period. But anyways. I am trying my hardest to keep my mind off ttc this month. Im only on cd 8 second last pill of clomid. I dont know how I am going to make it to Jan 28th when my af is due.

I know this part is off topic but Im really wondering if my doc should be giving me clomid. Alot of you have said you have blood work on cd 21.. and I dont even have a dr appointment to get my next round of clomid or to check when Im pregnant. So Im not sure if he knows what hes doing. Im also super nervous about getting that ovulation pain again. If its as bad as last time I may have to go to emergency. But what can they do for it? What if I am getting this pain because Im not ovulating and my ovaries are just huge because they have massive cysts on it from the clomid. I dont even know if I have cysts on my ovaries.. no ones ever checked.

Anways, I sit here at 2:25 WIDE awake. Im not even slightly tired. I am full of energy. Cody will be getting up for work shortly. At 3ish. Hes going to freak when he sees I havnt gone to bed yet. But what am I supposed to do, just lie there and not sleep. I get so frusterated doing that cuz all I can think about is ttc and baby stuff. I cant wait for this part of my life to be behind me. I honestly am not a patient person and this wait is killing me. Im not sure how many more months I can continue doing this. I thought the wait was horrible when ttc my other children and I got pregnant with them so easily. Im not even sure what to do anymore.

I need a list of 20 things that i can do for the next 20 days (1 a day thing) that will help me get by this whole waiting thing. I wish there was a FF button on life for certain things. I just cant wait to be in labor, then to hold my baby, to recover from a c section, to breastfeed for the first time, to get blood transfusions, to hold my baby, to smell. to wash, to change, to sing to my baby to read to my baby. I cant wait to see my childrens faces when they see the ultrasounds and feel the baby move in my belly. To then have them watch their baby brother or sister grow up. To help feed them when I pump milk and to burp them and to give the baby kisses and hugs. I cant wait for it all. Im sitting on pins and needles. I just hope it happens soon. I think I might have to go mia in m 2 ww just to keep my mind off baby stuff lol. Well anyways its 2:30ish so Im going to go lay in the bed and pretned I was sleeping if cody wakes up early lol. Gnite yall

but please do help me with a list of things to do.. as long as its not too expensive i will try to do all. I just need some ideas. even if its just simple as cooking something, cleaning something.. going for a walk.. just a list of things to do to help me. Thanks ladies.

No one has ever checked if you have cysts on your ovaries? How do you know you have PCOS?

i was told i had pcos in one dr visit to a specalist who said because i had only 2 periods in a year since my daughter had been born that i had pcos.

well i had actually had 5 periods. But only 2 were without birth control pills. So they said because the 2 periods i had after coming off bc pills were so far spaced apart that i have pcos. all my blood work came back normal, nothing was off balance.

No one can look at you or be informed of your lack of cycles and diagnose you PCOS.. That is incredibly foolish. You need to be seen my an actual specialist who will look at your ovaries and run the appropriate tests. You may have a completely different problem...

I kind of thought it was weird. I saw an endocrinologist. He asked me if I had even seen an obgyn yet and I said no i was refered to him for this. He asked me a few questions, his student flet my thyriod looked at my blood work and said she has pcos. no additional blood work was done other than the stuff your regular doc checks. All of that came back normal because I thought i was heading into early menopause cuz my birth mother hit it at 27. But they didnt do any ultrasound or anything else. And when i had ultrasounds during my pregnancies and they always checked my ovaries in the first few scans and no one ever said anything to be about having cysts on them or anyhting, said they were normal size and appeared to be normal. So i dk anymore. I tried to get my doc to refere me to an obgyn to get the clomid but hes like no i can give that to you you dont need to see an obgyn. so i dont know.

Yeah you need to see someone else. You may not even have PCOS and are putting all your eggs in the PCOS basket. There is no way someone can diagnose you by looking at you without the proper protocol..

Oh and i should say i was also told I have secondary infertility, but I decided just to join one board. Since taking clomid though I have noitced i do seem to be ovulating. But the cycle before clomid I had thought i had ovulated as well because i had perfect ewcm, perfect cp and exactly 14 days later i got my af. Then i went onto clomid and last cycle worked perfectly and whatnot. But I think i will be seeing after this cycle if i can be refered to an obgyn cuz the only thing Ive got in common with pcos was lack of menstral cycles. and being overweight but ive been that way my whole life and i weight less now than i did when i was pregnant with all 3

Hmm, if your b/w was normal and they didnt do an u/s then I guess I dont quite understand how they assume you have PCOS. There's other diagnosis out there for lack of periods...Most would be treated the same by doing clomid but they really should find out exactly what is wrong. I dont see why you'd need a referal to an obgyn and if youre doubting your doctor just call an OBGYN. Cant you go to the same one who delivered your kids?

I agree with Maggie that you may want to make sure that PCOS is really your problem. Has your DH had a sperm analysis done?

I'm sorry you're having the insomnia and hot flashes - I bet those are from the clomid. That nasty wench!

Here you cant just go to an obgyn you have to be refereed. As for going to the ob who delivered my babies, you have a time limit after they deliver you. They will see you up to one year of your babys delivery for reproductive health after that year you need to be re refered. Emma was born may 09, so im way past that.

I didnt think it was realistic of them to think i had pcos, at least without a scan. I guess I will be phoning my doc to get an appointment or i might wait till i have to go in.

I think the reason they might have thought i had it was after my first son was born i didnt get a period after his birth for 8 months. Then my cycles were very far apart. I had 2 cycles between 8 months and when I got pregnant with caleb was almost 13 months. I got prego second cycle. I had been breastfeeding until he was 6 months, well it was on demand pumping. Cuz he had been premature so he never learned to breastfeed but i pumped on demand for him till he was 6 months. so 2 months after I stopped pumping i got my periods back. But then after I had noah I ovulated 4 weeks after his delivery and at my 6w post partum check i had my period. And then i had regular cycles 36 days in length till i got pregnant first attempt at 5 months. well it was a more of lets see if we catch the egg if not no worries. So i got pregnant with emma. Then when emma was 7 days old I got the depo shot. Then I bled on and off for 3 months. After the 3 months i would bleed randomly every 2 weeks for about 4 months. Then my doc put me on bcps where i had 3 normal cycles on it, and got 3 periods. I came off them and my periods went a bit scarce again and i only had 2 until I went to the endocrinologst who said i had pcos and secondary infertility.

And nat it must be the clomid. I also think it makes me weapy. I cried at greys anatamy and in private practise i was bawling. Plus it makes me feel weapy at other times too randomly.. lol

Hmm...If you have PCOS, bloodwork will show. I would request the b/w to be done again. Weird...

Hmm...Then that means you don't have PCOS, if they tested you for it & it came back normal.
I would call your doctor TOMORROW & ask him why he thinks you have PCOS.

That is rather odd. So you guys just let your regular physicians do your yearly exam? Bleck.

I agree with amber though, if you had no cysts and your b/w is normal then Id say "secondary inferility" would be your problem. Its quite frustrating that they think since you all of the sudden have long cycles that you have PCOS especially if you're prone to early menopause too!

@ Amber. My regular doc didnt say I had pcos this was the supposed infertility specalist i saw (the endocringologst) who said i had it. I see him in february. He told me his reasons for me having pcos were my weight (as i said i weighed more than i got pregnant all the other times), and and the fact that I didnt have periods.those were his only reasons. His student asked what about doing an ultrasound and he said. oh we dont need to do an ultrasound she is a classic sample of pcos in obese women.

@ Manda... yeppers my doc does my yearly exams. My doc though specalizes in prenatal care and whatnot, so hes already seen my crotch many of times during the 3 pregnancies so i find him more comfortanble than seeing a stranger once a year. And Im not sure how prone I am to early menopuase. My birth moms mother had 23 kids. None of them multiples. The other women in the family didnt hit menopause until their late 40s. My birth mom was the only one out of 11 girls that hit menopause at 27. So they arnt sure if its just her or if i will be the same.

to be honest.. I dont want to go back in feb. Leaving his office made me feel so down. I know im overweight, I am working slowly at loosing weight. I had dropped 75lbs in 4 months which was awesome but it did alot of bad to my body as well. I gained a little back but am loosing it on my own now with healthy eating. But whenever you go to these docs they like to use wieght as an issue which i know it can be, but im content with my weight and my ability to lose it slowly, so when someone tells me im nto doing it good enough well that just sends me on a downwards spiral cuz ive always turned to food for comfort. So I may not even go. If after 6 months on clomid with my doc nothing happens i will ask to see the ob gyn or some other fertility specalist other than this other doc
