I am wondering what you guys think about this?

As you know my fist couple of HPT's were a little concerning for me, but it seems consitently strong now, but, I called my OB and made an appointment for 2 March (the earliest they would give me!) and then I found out that they no longer have a local office and I would have to go a couple of suburbs over. I thought about it and I don't think I like her enough to go that far (although technically not that far ) So I found someone local from a recommendation from a friend and I made an appointment with her, but they won't see me until 14 March!

I know if there is something wrong there is nothing much they can do, but what about checking my levels??

I checked with the second Dr's admin. and she said "we would only see you earlier if you were bleeding or there was a reason for concern"....... This is my first pg in the US, but when pg DD in Oz, I had regular bloods early on and a dating US.

What would you do?

Thank you so much BAM for my awesome siggy

I think you should continue calling around. I assume you have insurance, so open your provider booklet, if you dont have one on hand, they have a list online of providers who accept your insurance. I say you find someone who is close by you. Make a list of a few that are around you and google to see their reviews. Im sure there are reviews out there, especially on healthgrades.com. Call them and see if they take new patients, and explain your situation to them. See if any can squeeze you in asap. Not that there is something wrong, but just to ease your mind. You arent obligated to stay with any doctor you dont want to but if someone can get you in for some BW and an US say, tomorrow, id go for it.

thank you to Jaidynsmum for my beautiful siggy

Excellent suggestion, Rita! If you aren't set on a particular dr, go with one that will see you soonest. Good luck!

Hmm...If you can't get an appt earlier than March 2nd, then I would stick with that doctor, atleast until after that appt.
But that's just me

to what the girls said! Either see if you can get in elsewhere or stick with the March 2nd appt for now!

FYI... I know this is kinda off putting, but if you go into planned parenthood they will do a blood test... you would at least get a level... just an FYI.... You can also go into an Urgent Care (depending on if your insurance covers it) and just tell them you had some bleeding (little white lie) and you've had complications etc... and usually they will draw the levels... at least they did in Cali..... Just some other options for ya! :-)
