What are the chances my OB/Gyn will put me on Metformin? I think I want to try that first.
Do they like to wait awhile or does ot just vary by doctor?

I think it's a pretty good chance. That's usually the first line of defense for PCOS whether TTC or not.

Thanks Bokkechick for my wonderful siggy!

I agree! I think Metformin is a great choice, even back when I was TTC DD, I had to practically beg my then OB/GYN to start me on Metformin instead of Clomid immediately like she had wanted to. The evidence based research for how well Metformin works in women with PCOS has come along way since then and it's pretty standard protocol now, even with primary care physicians. My internal medicine NP monitors and prescribes my Metformin when I'm not TTC..

Of course, this time around, it hasn't exactly straightened out my cycles like the first time I used it, but I think it's a great choice to start with as well! Give it a few months for your body to adjust to it though!
