Hi ladies, wondering if any other PCOS ladies have a similar experience.

I have a friend that my cycle tend to sync up with. When she moved away a few years ago my AF didn't arrive for 3 months. I got pregnant with my youngest 5 months after she got pregnant with a few long cycles between her BFP & mine (I was TTC then). She is currently pregnant with her 3rd. She got pregnant in October, AF started around the time she got her BFP.

My AF in November was slow to start, only had 2 days of "full flow" then tapered off. Very light & short compared to most of my PCOS AF's.

December has yet to arrive. We are not TTC. Is it just a coincidence that my PCOS is acting up when she is pregnant?

So when she's not pregnant do you have a normal cycle length? Or are her cycles long too? I'd think that if you sync up with her cycles, she could be helping your body regulate. They think the reason women sync up with each other is because of pheromones. So your friend could be releasing pheromones that are effecting your cycle. Once she's pregnant she probably isn't releasing the same pheromones anymore so your cycle would no longer be affected and go back to it's natural length.

Thanks Bokkechick for my wonderful siggy!

Does she still live away from you? I think Pheramones only work if you see each other often. Its pretty cool how you can synce up with close friends. I have my sister and my best friend who I sync with if i go and stay with a while.
Co sleeping baby wearing mama to Puddles 3 years and Fiancee to Yetti. Pretty signature to come soon!
