So I was correct... Got my 7 dpo test on cycle day 63... This confirmed that my progesterone had risen from less than .5 on surge day to 11.7. Yay! Now, I want to naturally shorten the cycle length... Is vitex good for this? Any damage it can do if it doesn't work? My cycle are usually about 60 days, but can vary.

I honestly could not say. I started vitex in november and was having very irregular periods, 35-45days in between. Trying to concieve, it dcided why not try vitex? After being late in december, i thought nothing of it until my husband noticed i was nauseas and tired 3 days in a row, he wanted me to take a test.
It was positive! Omce i got the positive i stopped taking vitex. Now almost 15 weeks and according to the doctor i'm having a perfectly normal pregnancy.

I did find out at my first ultrasound that i had pcos. Never new it before. Just thought i should share. We tried for 8 months, i also took asprin and musinex (plain) daily while ttc.

Vitex can help with that. I've researched it a lot lately because I've thought about starting FertiliTea. It seems like the main thing it helps with is increasing your progesterone and making your LP longer. But some people taking it have noticed shorter, more regular cycles. You shouldn't take it if you're on anything like soy/clomid/femara but it should be fine to take otherwise. I think the worst thing that can happen is it just doesn't work. If I wasn't on fertility meds I would go with the tea or the blend rather than just vitex as those contain a bunch of other stuff that helps regulate you as well. It can take a few months to start noticing changes when you go the herbal route so if it doesn't work right away that doesn't mean it won't work at all.

Thanks Bokkechick for my wonderful siggy!
