I just wanted to share my good fortune with some of you who understand. I was diagnosed at age 13 with PCOS and was scared ever since of not being able to conceive.

My husband and I were married on June 26, 2004, and we had been dating for over five years.

We are very young, but discussed the possibility of not being able to have kids due to my PCOS and decided to try now, and hope for the best.

I went off my birth control in December. In March I was sick and took a pregnancy test (okay, I'll be honest, six pregnancy tests---hey---I didn't think I could get pregnant!!) and it was positive.

My baby boy is due November 14 of this year. WE apparently conceived around Valentine's Day.

My doctor said that women with PCOS don't have cycles as often, but when they do, they are just as "good" as everyone else's. He also said that all of my cysts are clearing up and if I stay on birth control after this birth and everything, I should have no problem having babies.

I hope this gives you guys some inspiration. I am praying for all of you!

Thanks for sharing your story!!!!!

Some women who have PCOS can get pg and not stay pg- I'm one of them. I've been pg twice this year both ended in m/c. But I'm not giving up..

Thank you for your story and inspiration!

Congrats on your baby boy!!! It is always good to hear about other women who are able to achieve pregnancy with PCOS. It sounds as though you had no trouble conceiving at all, that is so wonderful and so fortunate for you. I also have PCOS and am due on Nov 10, although it was a bit of a struggle for me to get pg. I really hope to see you on the Nov DDC board also!
