Would you hire a housekeeper if you had the money? Or do you think that is being lazy?

I wouldn't hire a housekeeper on a regular basis, but I would hire someone occasionally for the big tasks, like cleaning the windows and steam cleaning the carpet upstairs.

I did hire a housekeeper once, for a good clean of the house right before Nathaniel's baptism party. We had his baptism at 3 weeks, and I was so overwhelmed with getting things prepared, entertaining family who came in from out of town, and adjusting to having a newborn in the house that DH suggested it. It was worth it at the time!!

Are you kidding me???? It's not lazy!

I got one to come in every 2 weeks to clean the bathrooms, floors, and dusting after I had Logan. Breastfeeding, laundry, diapers, and meals alone filled up my day! We re-arranged our budget and cut out a bunch of "extra"s to pay off some debt and that service was one of the, but it was ok because Logan was getting more independent anyway. I think I need to hire someone to come in a do a big spring clean for me though.

Don't yell, LOL. I got the question from the host resource page. Never implied it was lazy!! Haha.

I don't think it's lazy either, unless you're staying home all day with tons of free time and still do it. But for busy moms or busy people in general, I think by all means, do it. Honestly, I'd love for someone to come and do all the big tasks like Lizzy said - wash the windows, clean behind the stove & fridge, etc. But don't think we could afford to.

Wait, you're supposed to clean behind the stove? Oops.
