Do you say grace/prayer before meals in your home? How about when you're eating out in public? Did you grow up in a home where your parents said prayers before meals?

Always at home and always at restaurants too. We usually sing and clap Thank You God or Johnny Appleseed. In public, Bless Us Oh Lord. At home, we said grace on special occasions, never in public.

We pray before dinner at home and out in restaurants. We say the typical "bless us oh Lord" prayer. We didn't do this while growing up.

Yes, we say the typical prayer before dinner. I try to remember to say it before lunch and breakfast but we ALWAYS say it before dinner whether at home, in public or at a family event. We did say a prayer before dinner growing up.

How about when you're eating out in public? We bow our heads and say grace quietly.

Did you grow up in a home where your parents said prayers before meals? Actually no not with mum/dad, but with grandparents.

I guess it's something we should be doing. Since I wasn't raised Catholic and in a family that never prayed, this is a bit 'strange' to me still. DH comes from a very religious, devout Catholic family but they only pray before meals at holidays, like Christmas and Easter... I think that's how it is in their culture. So I follow a lot of what DH does. But I'd love to maybe start doing it.
