Well, just last week I finished my 24 week Great Adventure Bible Timeline study. It is AWESOME!! I mentioned way back last fall about starting the study, so I thought I'd give you all an update as to how I liked it.

Here's my overall comment: If you have the opportunity and time, definitely do this study. I feel so much more confident about Scripture now. Not that I know everything, that's DEFINITELY not the case! But I went into the study feeling like I knew snippets here and there and now I feel like I know the "outline" of the Bible, and where some of the stories fit in. We started in Genesis, and ended up in Acts. The study doesn't have you read every book, just the "narrative" ones, and then shows you where the other books fit in. Now I feel like I can study each book individually and see where it fits into the big picture, if that makes sense.

I started out by joining this big Bible Study that meets every week about forty minutes from me. It was too difficult to drive there with Nathaniel. He would get impatient being in the car that long. So a few of us left the big study and bought the CD's, which has Jeff Cavin's lectures on it, and we did the readings and study questions on our own during the week, and met once a week to watch the lecture and discuss the questions. It was great, because if I had to miss a week, I just got the CD and caught up before the next week. And we rotated houses so I got to stay at my own house and have everyone come over about once a month.

I'm so happy I stuck with it. If anyone has any questions, let me know. Here is the link to more info about the study.

Thanks for sharing the link! I wasn't a member yet in the fall, so I'm glad you posted your review and recommendation.

Too bad it is so expensive for an individual, though.
