I am going to try to make this short. When I had my daughter we chose my parents as God Parents. A few months later my father passed away.
Now that we a pregnant again, I have begun to think about God Parents. I would love to have my mom be a God Parent again. She pays for the catholic school education and is always making sure that the grandkids (mine and my brothers) are attending church. She is a great role model. Can I only have one? Or even better can I have my mom and my dad in spirit?
I could ask a couple from my daughter school, we have met some great catholic families there too, but then I wouldn't be able to have my mom. I could ask my brother to be it with my mom, but we have recently had a falling out and he is not a part of my life right now.
I know I can wait and find out when I attend the informational meeting when it is a little closer, but I was just wondering if anybody knows anything.

Yup, you can definitely have one Godparent. As long as she is sacramentally active as a Catholic, that's all you need.

Yep! A godparent is a witness to the sacrament of Baptism, and you only need one.

I think having your mother sounds really wonderful.
