Luke Anthony was born 9/12 at 12:01am - a few minutes earlier and he would not share a birthday with his grandpa, my dad. He was 8lbs 8ozs and 20 inches long. He is adorable and we are loving every minute with him.
I am very slow/behind when it comes to computers but I'm going to try and figure out how to post a picture of him.

***funny story: Tim and I had an ultrasound at about 24 weeks. We made it clear that we did not want to know the sex of the baby but the tech let it slip and told us we were having a girl. We were so disappointed, not about having a girl, but that we wouldn't get that surprise. We decided to keep it as our little secret and no one else knew what the sex was or that we even knew. I had a horrible labor and delivery experience - I'll have to save that story for another time - but after over 4 hours of pushing Luke arrived with the help of forcepts and they put him right on my chest - I still thought I was looking at my beautiful new daughter. Then I hear the doctor get Tim's attention, point at the baby - they both laughed before Tim could even tell me the nurse announced - It's a boy!! Poor Luke is going to have a complex because for months Tim and I had been calling him by the girl name we had picked out when no one else was around. We even had a cute girl outfit to bring him home in - Tim had to run out and get a different one!********

"Authentic love is not a vague sentiment or a blind passion. It is an inner attitude that involves the whole human person. It is looking to the other, not to use but to serve. It is rejoicing when the other rejoices and suffers when the other suffers. Love is the gift of self." JPII

What a blessing...how wonderful! I am sooo happy for you.
Just a side note: I thought Jeffrie was a girl until about 8 1/2 months along I got a 2nd ultrasound. We had named her Jesse and we had bought all pink clothes and everything. Needless to say, it was a shock for us too...not like the shock you got, but I can kinda understand...ha What a great day for you and your family!
19 yr ANNIVERSARY at Port O'Connor, TX. We went fishing for 3 days offshore. We are here at sunset, and very sunburned!
